visionary barber and stylist Franco Cipriotti

While running a successful barber school, visionary barber and stylist Franco Cipriotti saw the future in ladies hairdressing.

He transformed his barber school, State Beauty, into a beauty culture school called Maison de Paris, which was the first cosmetology school in the state of New Jersey. In 1965 Franco’s daughter Anna took over the school from her father. The school continued its success and had outgrown the space devoted to it. With the continual growth across the span of the 3 generations, the school has moved from its origins in Philadelphia, and now resides in Voorhees, New Jersey.

Anna's husband, Sal Rizzieri joined the business, and began expanding by opening up their first salon, House of Capri. House of Capri was located in Runnemede, New Jersey. Many of Rizzieri's talented staff today started at that very salon.

Once they outgrew that space, in the eighties they decided to move into the new up-and-coming town of Washington Township, and then the salon Mirage was born. Recently, Rizzieri Salon at Washington Township relocated to the Virtua Health & Wellness Campus.

In that same building you can find the Virtua Fitness Center and vir tú spa which creates a perfect opportunity for our guests to make looking their best and feeling their best a priority.

In the nineties, their son, Frank Rizzieri moved into a leadership role. He took the Rizzieri organization to a new level in the mid nineties opening up in Marlton, New Jersey. It was time for more space to take the salon and spa to the next level, so in 2014 that salon was moved to Moorestown Mall to join in Boutique Row. That opportunity allowed Rizzieri to introduce new concepts such as Franco’s Barber Shop that pays homage to his grandfather’s beginnings of this company, as well as a blow dry bar. Throughout those years one thing has remained a constant, a mantra that the Rizzieri Organization lives by, being in the “make people feel good” business.
