What is Color Correction?
Think of it this way – when we want to correct imperfections on your skin, you use makeup concealer. Color correction works the same way, except instead of temporarily covering it up, our color correction treatment corrects your hair color to the color you desire while making your hair healthier and manageable. At Rizzieri Salon & Spa, your hair colorist will evaluate the current condition of your hair and will work with you to determine the best steps to correcting your hair color and repairing the damage that may have been done to your hair. 

Help! My Hair Color is Too Light
This is usually the easiest problem to fix. Typically, using a darker shade over your current hair color is enough to even things out. Once we can color correct your hair to the darker shade you want, we will give recommendations on treatments to use to repair damage and to add nourishment to your hair. 

Help! My Hair Color is Too Dark
Lightening hair can be a challenge. The first step would be to do a color cleanse to remove as much of the darkest dye as possible. Once this is done, we can begin to lighten your hair. Whether it’s with a single or double process, your stylist will recommend what the best process is for your hair.

How Long does Color Correction Take?
Your Rizzieri stylist will be able to give you a more accurate timeframe on your color correction needed. Depending on the severity of the color, the condition of your hair, and what you’d like the final outcome to be, multiple appointments could be required. We want to repair your hair and make it healthy while correcting your hair color.
